JobMaker is a fast-growing SaaS that makes hiring structured, transparent, and collaborative. Our platform is already used by recruiters, solution architects, and hiring managers to create, align, and publish job descriptions across teams — and we are scaling fast.

We have successfully launched JobMaker Studio — our smart job description builder — and have exciting projects already in the pipeline. Expect to work on features that are live and used today, as well as shape what comes next.

We are a remote-first, async-friendly engineering team with a working product, real users, and clear momentum. You will join an established team and expand our technical capabilities — your decisions will accelerate what we ship, raise the bar on quality, and help us scale to the next stage.

What you will do

  • Design, build, and maintain full-stack features across the Next.js frontend and Node.js / serverless backend
  • Own feature delivery from RFC to production — architecture, implementation, review, and monitoring
  • Collaborate closely with design and product to refine requirements and ship high-quality UIs
  • Contribute to infrastructure decisions: deployment, CI/CD, observability, and security
  • Extend and evolve engineering standards: code review culture, testing strategy, and documentation practices
  • Participate in async planning — we use Linear and Notion to stay aligned across time zones

What we are looking for

  • 5+ years of professional experience building production web applicationsExpert
  • Expertise in TypeScript, React, and Next.js App RouterExpert
  • Understanding of backend fundamentals: REST/GraphQL APIs, relational and document databasesProficient
  • Proficiency with cloud deployment (GCP, AWS, or equivalent) and modern CI/CD practicesProficient
  • Knowledge of vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, or similar) and LLM integration patternsProficient
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with a high degree of ownershipMindset
  • Strong async communication skills — you write clearly and document thoughtfullyMindset+

Bonus points

Not required — but these will help you stand out.

  • Experience with Tailwind CSS and design-system-level component work
  • Experience building, fine-tuning, and evaluating custom LLMs and AI pipelines
  • Background in HR-tech, recruitment tools, or enterprise SaaS
  • Open source contributions or personal projects you are proud of
